Youth Jobs Grant for Employers
Did you know you could receive £3,000 for every eligible young person you recruit?
The Government is investing an additional £2.5 billion to help businesses build their future workforce through the Youth Guarantee and Growth and Skills Levy, providing employers with practical support and funding to recruit young talent.
Introducing the Youth Jobs Grant
From 30 June 2026, employers across Great Britain can receive £3,000 per eligible hire when recruiting a young person aged 18 to 24 who has been claiming Universal Credit and seeking work for six months or more.
What you'll receive:
- £3,000 grant per eligible hire (£1,800 after 6 weeks and £1,200 after 18 weeks)
- Free recruitment and job matching support from Jobcentre Plus
- Access to motivated local candidates ready to work
- Reduced recruitment costs while developing your future workforce
Eligibility
To qualify, you must:
- Offer a genuine paid role of at least 25 hours per week
- Expect the role to last at least 4 months
- Complete a simple online application (takes around 20 minutes)
