Kent Libraries

Visit any of Kent County Council's libraries for a warm welcome. You don’t need to be a member to use the library, though joining is free and easy and open to anyone living, studying or working in Kent.

Browse our shelves, catch up with friends online with our free computer and WiFi access, or meet new people at one of our friendly social groups. Share a story, visit our cheery children's areas with little ones or pop along to one of our regular events.

There’s more to libraries than books!

  • Free access to PCs, internet and Wi-fi (including Wi-fi printing)
  • Free bookable IT Buddy help sessions
  • 24/7 Ask a Kent librarian remote enquiry service
  • A wide range of books, newspapers, magazines and reference resources both in the library and remotely via our eLibrary
  • Regular social groups and activities to support learning, develop new skills, and to help reduce the feelings of loneliness and isolation
  • Business support for start-ups with free advice for small businesses
  • Exempt and group memberships are available
  • Birth and death registrations
  • Home library service
  • Mobile library service
  • And much more . . .

Visit the KCC libraries webpage for more information.
