Swivel bathers are used to facilitate access into the bath from a sitting position. The seat swivels (by pulling a small lever under the seat) which means there is less effort / friction when turning. You will need to be able to raise your legs over the edge of the bath. You will then usually remain seated to either shower or be assisted to wash (whilst seated over the bath).
