Tunbridge Wells Age UK is an Independent Charity working to help older people remain supported and not forgotten- we have a range of services we can offer some are free and some are paid for services.
Advocacy: Our Advocacy service is designed to support older people to express their wishes and to ensure their voice is heard.
Befriending/LGBTQ+: We have volunteers with a diverse range of backgrounds and interests who are ready to befriend older people with like minded interests.
Cognitive Stimulation Therapy: We run a series of fun and engaging activities for people living with Dementia. These are designed to stimulate different areas of the brain.
Community Hot meals:Our Hot lunch service runs 5 days a week between the hours of 12-14:00- The meals are freshly cooked each day and are delivered with a dessert - you can have the addition of a packed supper.
Daycare and Dementia daycare: Our centre is open 5 days per week - 2 days for Generic day care and 3 days for dementia day care - the centres both offer a welcoming and safe environment, the service offers the most vulnerable ofr frail the opportunity to socialise. Older clients living with Dementia who access the centre can socilise in small groups and engage in stimulating activities.
Dementia Outreach: Our dementia Outreach service is a support service for those clients living with dementia it is a one-2 one support service.
Independent Living Support Service: A support service to support older people to remain independent in their own home by assisiting with day to day living tasks.
Information and Advice: Our confidential advice service offfering information and advice on issuses that concern older people - we can support with maximising benefits
Memory cafes:Our memory cafes offer a safe and calm environment to meet others living with Dementia, Share experiences, socialise and get information and advice.
