The service is a free, voluntary service for individuals who are accessing support from the community mental health team, who would like support in finding paid employment and based are based in Kent & Medway What is IPS? We support our clients using the IPS model, which is an evidenced-based, NICE-endorsed intervention and part of the NHS Long Term Plan for Mental Health. The model is based on over 20 years of research, including around 28 successful randomised controlled trials and the IPS approach is internationally recognised as the most effective way of supporting people with mental health conditions to gain and keep paid employment. Criteria to access our service. We help anyone who expresses a desire to work. Over 18 Lives in Kent & Medway Accessing support from Secondary Mental Health Care Teams. Wants to find paid employment. How we can help you: • Support in finding competitive paid employment opportunities, and finding a job that is right for you, we want you to succeed and find a career not just any job! • Support with CV writing, job applications and interview techniques • Support with employer engagement and sourcing job opportunities on your behalf. • Your dedicated employer can help with disclosure of health conditions, in work well-being support and providing you with tools and advice to help if you need this. • We offer support and professional guidance to employers so they can support you in the workplace. • Ongoing in work support for as long as you need. • Employment specialists are embedded in clinical teams, and we work directly with healthcare providers within the community mental health teams and operate using a holistic joint up support approach when delivering our bespoke person centred employment support. • Benefits counselling is included in our offer.
