Wellbeing services in the community

There are a wide range of health and wellbeing services designed to support the community's mental, physical, and social health. Whether you need help with housing, financial advice, or finding employment, there are numerous programs available to assist you in improving your overall wellbeing.

In this section you will find contact details for a variety or organisations for wellbeing in the community, for people with dementia and their families, for people with sensory impairments, physical disabilities and community navigators for carers.

Involve are a community-led charity committed to providing holistic health and wellbeing support to people of all ages and circumstances, working alongside partner organisations.

Imago provides support and opportunities to people, families, and communities across Kent, East Sussex, Medway and South London.

Their services focus on improving health and wellbeing, tackling loneliness, building social and educational opportunities, and helping people access the right support.

Social Enterprise Kent has been supporting communities, individuals and businesses since 1985.

They work in partnership with the whole community to build the skills and relationships needed to create positive lasting social change.

Live Well Kent and Medway is a service providing mental health and wellbeing support to people aged over 17. They have a network of voluntary organisations and charities which can help you:

  • Better manage your mental health and general wellbeing
  • Gain confidence and meet new people
  • Get advice for money, debt or benefit-related issues
  • Get support for housing concerns
  • Access free therapy and counselling-type services
  • Find work, volunteering and education opportunities
  • Join local activities and support groups run by people with similar experiences.

Live Well Kent is delivered on behalf of Kent County Council and the NHS by two charities:

Porchlight and Shaw Trust

Porchlight were founded to help people facing the devastating effects of homelessness.

They also provide help with:

  • Money advice
  • Mental health, physical health and wellbeing
  • Loneliness and isolation
  • Work, learning, health and skills
  • Housing
  • Rough sleeping,

The Shaw Trust take a holistic approach to community health and wellbeing which addresses all aspects of life. They work with local partners to connect people to the services they need, when they need them. Through this personalised support, people can become more independent and confident, learn new skills and gain fulfilling work.
