Lived experience representatives wanted for commissioning projects

Have you ever accessed adult social care for you or do you look after another adult?

We are currently looking for people like you to join others in being lived experience representatives to help with our commissioning projects.

Our representatives are involved in our ongoing range of adult social care and health work and bring the voice of the person to the table. Adult social care encompasses services such as home care, residential care, assistive technology, carer support, enablement and sensory help.

Projects in the past have focused on our strategies, technology, processes, commissioning as well as co-designing our information and communication materials.

  • Time commitment: 2 hours per month
  • Duration: 6-12 months
  • Format: online or face-to-face meetings
  • Recognition: reimbursement of time will be offered
  • Location: Online participation but face-to-face meetings also available
  • Type of role: Non-employee voluntary roles for an initial 6-month period.

These roles are part of our plan to engage multiple people to ensure that we are representing the views of people with lived experience of care and support, and unpaid carers.  We welcome people of all backgrounds, levels of experience and different areas in Kent to be involved.

Please note that this is non-employee voluntary agreement
that offers reimbursement for time and expenses and (i.e. not a formal salary or contract of employment). These opportunities are co-production and engagement opportunities and are not part of a formal public consultation unless stated otherwise.
