These sensors raise an alert as soon as you leave your bed or chair and do not return within a certain length of time (up to one hour). This can be individually programmed to suit your needs.

How can it be used?

  • To inform a loved one/ carer that the user has got out of bed
  • To check how much time is being spent in one position
  • Alerts can be sent to loved one/ carer to inform when the sensor has gone off

Those at risk of falls or may live independently and require extra peace of mind. People who may struggle to rise from a chair or exit a bed without issue. Dementia wandering and those with limited mobility.

Lifeline Base Unit (Either Dual Sim or Dual Pathway devices)

The lifeline unit is the mainstay of Care Technology (also known as telecare) services and has helped hundreds of thousands of service users throughout the UK.

It’s not just for older people, but also for those who need a little help to regain some confidence around the home. It comes with either a pendant alarm that can be worn around the neck or as a discrete wrist watch– either way the push button is simple to use and will alert the 24/7 monitoring centre instantly.

A strong built in speaker system allows you to speak from almost anywhere in your home to our monitoring centre if you need help. if it is not possible to speak, don’t worry, the monitoring centre can escalate the situation to designated carers/loved ones or the emergency services, depending on the situation.

This lifeline base unit is fully digital to ensure a secure, fast and reliable connection to our 24/7 monitoring centre. It does not require a landline.

How can it be used?

  • Link a number of other devices (such as falls detectors, flood detectors, smoke alarms) to this unit which can automatically call a 24/7 monitoring centre to arrange support
  • Built-in microphone enables 2-way conversation to take place between the user and 24/7 monitoring centre
