A bed raiser is a device that lifts the height of a bed. It usually consists of sturdy blocks or adjustable legs placed under the bed's legs. If you have mobility issues, this will make it easier to get in and out of bed as you can  go from sitting to standing by raising the overall height. 

It is important not to raise the height by too much, or getting into bed can then be more difficult.
